Q: Why do our ancient scriptures say that we have lived many lives as animals and plants and then have attained the human experience? The saints also say that being a human is a grand experience, but I am not able to say my human experience is grand. Please explain.
A:
If you read about past life experiences there are memories in the human psyche that remembers being a fish in the water, having a simple life as an ant, even memories of being a happy corn cob on a corn plant, gently swaying with the breeze.
Hence to answer your question let me explain about consciousness as much as I know at this time.
There is no man inside a man, there is no tree inside a tree, there is no cloud inside a cloud. For it is only consciousness inside everything. Consciousness experiences itself in every created physical thing.
It loves to be inside a rock, inside a tree, inside an animal, inside a human body so everything is only consciousness. And when we are able to connect with consciousness by choosing to live in the now moment without travelling to the past or future in the mind then we experience the bliss of oneness and peace.
If we take time to notice our breathing we come to the understanding that we are not breathing, we are being breathed by something beyond us. Our heart liver, lungs, kidneys and all organs inside the body are working without any effort from us, so we are being lived every moment.
Life breathes us and lives us every moment. We are this grand consciousness that is experiencing physicality by forgetting itself and dreaming itself to be in a limited physical body.
This life is a cosmic dream, we are the grand dreamers, everything that happens in the physical is for us to witness and gather wisdom.
So every physical experience in which we bind our emotions help us to gather wisdom. Wisdom from experiences can be gained only when we are willing enough to live in the now moment connecting with our inner being/ our conscious presence.
This life journey on this planet is just a fraction of a moment in eternity. We are travelers beyond space and time and this physical experience on this Planet is a beautiful way for us to gather wisdom, empower ourselves, and expand our consciousness.
Once we finish the body experience we once again merge with pure consciousness which is unconditional love where there is no judgment or expectations.
Hence we can say that, that which is God/Pure consciousness can never judge or expect anything, for it is pure unconditional love. The idea of a judgmental God with expectation for you is just a mind story of fear passed on from one human to another. Then of course the mind lives constantly in fear and judges and expects all the time.
When we choose to connect with our inner being/ pure consciousness/ our sacred Presence, we move beyond the fear stories and judgments of the mind and live a stress free life.
Truly there is no separation, all ideas of separation are only mind created stories.
