THERE IS A VAST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELIEF & TRUST ~ An excerpt from my book "Twelve Steps to Inner Peace"

THERE IS A VAST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BELIEF & TRUST

Belief is intellectual, it involves thinking, and it is a learned conditioning from the outside world: Fear arises out of beliefs.
Trust is created by conscious knowing of truth from within. Trust does not involve thinking as it only needs ones awareness. It is the innocence of a baby who trusts its mother without any doubt: Love arises out of trust.

The mind brings in doubt and when doubts arise, fear also arises as you search for a belief to hold on to. Fear is the most powerful enemy of all. Fear cripples, confuses, and makes one to die many times while alive. The concept of fear arises only in the confused mind, a mind that knows only what it knows, a mind that does not know anything before the body came into existence, and a mind that can ride its vehicle only through the help of the physical senses.

When you put your mind into a belief, you need an organization, laws, dogmas, and commandments; it becomes a system. Any kind of belief system is a hindrance to your spiritual growth, to your potential expansion, and to the gifts that you have brought into this Planet. In a belief system you are never given a chance to explore your Truth. Belief is the easy and most limited way to live your life. Beliefs take you away from your truth by preventing you from exploring the unknown, from creating wonderment through your gifts, and by keeping you inside a box in which your mind believes to be safe.

Your Truth can be known only by your own individual experience. This Universe is teaming with a grand assortment of creation. As each individual is unique, your gifts can be known only by your experience and never by a belief.

Trust is not about God or faith. Trust is complete surrender to life from the place of greater Understanding. The greater understanding comes from the heart and never from the mind. The mind is not built for trust or love. The mind is a storehouse of knowledge and experiences; hence, the mind is a grand holding place for beliefs. Emotions arise because of judgment of beliefs as being good or bad. Trust has nothing to do with emotions. Trust is a state of being. It is a feeling of the heart; it is not an emotion. It is referred to as the “gut feeling”. The gut feeling is the truth that you are born with; it is your Divine Guidance. When the gut feeling is pleasant, you are on the right path. In contrast, if your gut feeling is not comfortable, the path you have chosen is not for you.

TRUST YOUR FEELINGS BEFORE YOU TRUST ANYONE ELSE. YOUR FEELINGS ARE YOUR DIVINE GUIDANCE. IF ANYTHING MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD, THEN DO IT. IF YOU DO NOT GET A GOOD FEELING, THEN IT IS NOT FOR YOU.

Gut level feelings are a perfect and clear compass within every human being. One who listens and follows his feelings will be able to effortlessly flow with the river of life.

Blessings!

A QUESTION AND ANSWER TO SHARE

A QUESTION AND ANSWER TO SHARE

A Sweet friend asked me, what would be the perfect way to meditate.

Answer: My sweet friend, thank you for asking. I will share what I experience as meditation - make every moment a meditation. It is like celebrating every moment that we are alive, celebrating the things that are in our life, celebrating the people and situations in our life even if they are not upto our expectations, appreciating and taking time to do the things we do with this physical body, making it a habit of giving thanks for everything many times during the day, reminding oneself to choose to see the gifts in every situation, ......when practiced sincerely this becomes a perfect meditation for a life time. This is because the goal to sit and follow any meditation is to ultimately become the person who is able to celebrate every aspect of life. I trust that I have answered your question.

THERE ARE NO MISTAKES IN THE UNIVERSE, ALL IS WELL

THERE ARE NO MISTAKES IN THE UNIVERSE, ALL IS WELL

So many of us are going through tough times either physically, emotionally, financially or in relationships. My heart goes out to each and every one of you enfolding you with energies of courage and support. The Higher Self part of me says that "All is Well", everything is okay, it can never be not okay. The purpose of "All that IS/Life" is to awaken us and birth us into consciousness, to allow consciousness to emerge through whatever we do.
We just need to choose to see situations from the eyes of the benevolent Universe that does not make any mistakes. For eons people have gone through life mechanically without awakening to the oneness of all that is. Lack of awakening has lead to the suffering of separation, comparison, and competition, these are a sure way to lead this Planet into destruction. A large number of people are going through "tough times", learning compassion through suffering, opening the eyes to unconditional love, choosing to see the positive side of life, awakening others through their awakening. This does not make any sense in the physical or mental analysis, but this is a sure way to get out of the game of separation, competition, comparison, loneliness, and all kinds of fear and suffering.
It is time to know ourselves not only as the physical beings but also as the powerful spiritual beings who are capable of immense compassion and unconditional love, to know ourselves as the powerful transformers of all density and discord through our unconditional love and compassion. Unconditional love and compassion are the powerful aspects of non-judgment towards oneself and others.
My sweet friends choose to see these tough times as an opportunity to move forward toward greater joy and perfection, for nothing in the Universe goes backwards, every situation no matter how they appear to be are actually ushering us towards greater joy and perfection if only we choose to be in the place of trust and patience. There are so many many life lessons of wisdom to gather from these situations, but no judgment, absolutely. Make it a habit to stop and pause from the busyness of life and give yourself space to breathe a conscious breath, to connect with nature, to appreciate life in all possible ways, and choose to see the gift in all situations.
Blessings!

GIGGLE MEDITATION

GIGGLE MEDITATION

The Vedas say that when you feel tired there is a quick way to refresh your system.
Just practice creating giggles inside you, without opening your mouth.
Start giggling with your throat, then your stomach, and then your entire body. Let your body be filled with the joy of this giggle, the giggle will automatically become uncontrollable.
You will find that your body will become warm and rejuvenated and filled with immense energy! Once you feel full, you can laugh out loud and release the excess energy.
This is an amazing healing energy, it increases the vitality of the entire system, anyone can do it, and it is so freely available! JUST TRY IT.

CLOSING THE DOOR TO KARMA TO BRING WELL BEING INTO OUR LIFE

CLOSING THE DOOR TO KARMA TO BRING WELL BEING INTO OUR LIFE

Every one of us go through tough times and we wonder where did we go wrong, why has this tough moment appeared in our life at this time.  Tough times are pointers, if we take time to be patient and listen to the inner voice in silence we come to know that the so called "tough time" in our life points us towards the path we need to take. The message that I receive from my soul is that the path is called "non-judgment, or closing the door to the game of duality/karma."
The mind loves to categorize things/people/situations as good or bad, and by this classification weave enormous stories which brings discord into our lives.  The discord is like a roadblock and it hinders our journey of moving ahead in life.  The discord appears as problems in health, finance, relationships, emotions, and so on. So if we are willing and courageous to move ahead in the path where life leads us without the roadblocks of discord the best way is to close the door to karma, to become non-judgmental.
I remember the words of the Tao, "When people see some things as good, other things become bad." The game of duality continues because of judgments as good or bad.  The message is, do not perceive something is good, because you will tie yourself to it, and do not perceive something as bad because you will again tie yourself with it, and the game of karma will go on, and you will forget to move ahead towards your destiny.  The best way to stop this game is to be in the place of non-judgment. Instead of being the player in the drama, become the audience, become the witness of things. Choose to bring the understanding that you are powerful than your mind and its stories, move beyond the mind stories, they are only stories.  Things are the way they are, people are the way they choose to be, situations are situations, there is nothing good or bad, it is what it is.
Above all remember that every situation, every person, every place has been benevolently created and orchestrated by the Divine for our highest good.  Only when we choose to be in the place of non-judgment we realize this and gather the wisdom we need and move ahead.  This is closing the door to Karma, and when we choose to close this door we get to witness the immense healing and peace that take place in all aspects of our life, whether it be health, finance, or relationships.
Being aware of oneself by taking conscious breath many times during the day, connecting with nature, watching children laugh and play, watching the sunset, taking quiet intervals to be in silence with oneself are all powerful tools that help us be the witness of our mind and our environment, and move away from judgment.
Sweet friends let us choose to close the door to karma and open the door towards non-judgment in order to bring well being into every part of our life.
Blessings!

ENLIGHTENING THOUGHTS ON DEATH ~ (From Osho's teachings)

Death Is the Most Misunderstood Phenomenon

“Death is the most misunderstood phenomenon. People have thought of death as the end of life. That is the first, basic misunderstanding.

“Death is not the end, but the beginning of a new life. Yes, it is an end of something that is already dead. It is also a crescendo of what we call life, although very few know what life is. They live, but they live in such ignorance that they never encounter their own life. And it is impossible for these people to know their own death, because death is the ultimate experience of this life, and the beginning experience of another. Death is the door between two lives; one is left behind, one is waiting ahead.

“There is nothing ugly about death; but man, out of his fear, has made even the word, death ugly and unutterable. People don’t like to talk about it. They won’t even listen to the word death.

“The fear has reasons. The fear arises because it is always somebody else who dies. You always see death from the outside, and death is an experience of the innermost being. It is just like watching love from the outside. You may watch for years, but you will not come to know anything of what love is. You may come to know the manifestations of love, but not love itself. We know the same about death. Just the manifestations on the surface – the breathing has stopped, the heart has stopped, the man as he used to talk and walk is no more there: just a corpse is lying there instead of a living body.

“These are only outer symptoms. Death is the transfer of the soul from one body to another body, or in cases when a man is fully awakened, from one body to the body of the whole universe. It is a great journey, but you cannot know it from the outside. From outside, only symptoms are available; and those symptoms have made people afraid.

“Those who have known death from inside lose all fear of death.”

POWERFUL REMINDERS FOR EVERYDAY

POWERFUL REMINDERS FOR EVERYDAY ~ From Ram Dass (Richard Alpert), one of America's most beloved spiritual figures ~

“Healing does not mean going back to the way things were before, but rather allowing what is now to move us closer to God.”
― Ram Dass

“The game is not about becoming somebody, it's about becoming nobody.”

“Learn to watch your drama unfold while at the same time knowing you are more than your drama.”

“Everything changes once we identify with being the witness to the story, instead of the actor in it.”

“The most important aspect of love is not in giving or the receiving: it's in the being. When I need love from others, or need to give love to others, I'm caught in an unstable situation. Being in love, rather than giving or taking love, is the only thing that provides stability. Being in love means seeing the Beloved all around me.”

“Suffering is part of our training program for becoming wise.”

“It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path, and to proceed.”

“We're all just walking each other home.”

“Remember, we are all affecting the world every moment, whether we mean to or not. Our actions and states of mind matter, because we're so deeply interconnected with one another. Working on our own consciousness is the most important thing that we are doing at any moment, and being love is the supreme creative act.”

LIVING THE PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE AS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

LIVING THE PHYSICAL EXPERIENCE AS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Have  you ever looked at your hands, your feet, or your eyes, or any part of your body and appreciated them?
At this moment I see my hands as being unconditional love, they move and do so much for me, without my hands my experience in this physical planet would be very much limited. My hands do not have any desire of their own but by their unconditional love they are there ready whenever I want them for me or for others!  What an amazing love this is!
My hands, my feet, and every part of my entire physical body remind me to be unconditional love.
In this physical planet we are the hands, feet, eyes, mouth... of God.  That which is God/Creator being, is experiencing itself through us.  This moment in time as a physical being is truly a grand experience!
Extending our hands, feet, and mouth as a blessing for others is a grand experience. We came into this Physical body as unconditional love. Unconditional love is the truth of who we are. Unconditional love is not emotional love focused on someone or something from the mind, it has no likes or dislikes, it is not about extending love to someone in particular, but it is about being love. Being in the place of readily giving kindness, compassion, appreciation, acceptance, and understanding to yourself and everyone around you because you know that you are the well spring of unconditional love. Unconditional love has no need or dependency on anyone or anything, it is powerful, magical and sufficient unto itself, it flows as a beautiful sharing from the heart.  It is the tantra or mystical experience that transforms the whole world into lovers!
Living as unconditional love is a choice that comes from connecting with the inner being and experiencing oneself as the inner being/God within. And experiencing oneself as the inner being can be done only from totally living in the present moment. If the present moment is interrupted by allowing the mind to wander to worlds of the past or the future, we miss the present moment and also the experience of unconditional love.
Sweet friends at this moment let us choose to experience and live our lives as unconditional love!
Blessings!

ACCEPTING, ALLOWING, AND LOVING EVERY MOMENT OF LIVING

Today's contemplation:
ACCEPTING, ALLOWING, AND LOVING EVERY MOMENT OF LIVING
Accepting, allowing, ~ two powerful attitudes that life taught me. Every time a situation arises the mind is ready to take sides ... good/bad, ugly/beautiful, positive/negative. The vision of the mind is very much limited, sometimes it cannot see anything beyond the nose. It is wise to just witness the mind and its fear and do not get involved in it. It is wise to be in the place of accepting and allowing every situation that arises as something lovingly created for us by the Divine. If we hang on to the mind and its stories we experience fear, stress, and hopelessness. Hanging on to the mind stories hides the bigger picture. We do not know why certain things happen, but when we remain in the place of complete trust in the Divine and rest in the place of accepting and allowing, things will organize themselves and the greater beautiful picture will be revealed.
It is time we took responsibility for what we believe.
Allowing and accepting the moment, even if it is pain is "Heaven", but to be in pain and believe that there should be no pain, then that is "Hell".
Our lives are being thrown into chaos and suffering as we continue to argue with the situations in front of us by believing our thoughts.
When we stop opposing and arguing with reality we go with the flow, the mind is clear, and life becomes fearless. We realize that life has always been benevolent, whatever life brings is good. When we realize this we understand that what we have at the moment is exactly what we want at that moment, nothing more and nothing less, we couldn't have asked for anything better.
Every aspect of life is a Divine orchestration, when we accept the dark, we witness the birth of the light. Accepting, allowing, and loving every moment of living is kindness to oneself and True Devotion to the Divine.
Blessings!

CHOOSING JOY

CHOOSING JOY
(An excerpt from my book "Twelve Steps to Inner Peace")

At one time I had a neighbor who had a little dog who was so happy to see every one she met. She would wag her tail, jump up and down, and look at you with such loving, knowing eyes. The little dog was so excited with life and she was so much in gratitude for everything around her that everyone fell in love with this little dog. This little dog had brought in such a powerful reminder of joy into my life. I found that anytime I felt uncomfortable or sad with my mind stories, I could immediately switch my thoughts to the exuberant joy of this little dog. In my mind’s eye, I saw her wag her little tail and excitedly jump up and down, and as she was so happy with life and showed it with her entire body, it brought me joy, excitement, and trust in the eternal goodness of Divine Love. I chose to give gratitude to life like this little dog. Immediately, my mood changed and I became so happy and thankful toward life. I am so much in gratitude to this little being that showed me to live in excitement for life.
Excitement lets you know that the one here, now, in this Present Time, is the true you. By choosing joy, you are acknowledging your true self to the Universe. It is then that the Universe has the conviction that it is you, and it is then that the Universe can support who you actually are rather than supporting who you have been told you have to be.
Events come and go, but consciousness is what binds and creates all events. It is important to hold the right consciousness that leads you to your joy and to your abundance. The secret key to enter your Magic Kingdom is imagination and trust to create joy in all events of life.
Blessings!

TRUST THAT ALL IS WELL ALL THE TIME

TRUST THAT ALL IS WELL ALL THE TIME

Whenever the mind stories take over and judge situations or people as good or bad, I remind myself of this beautiful story from my childhood.
This story is about  a king and his wise minister.  The wise minister had immense trust in existence so according to him everything that happened always happened for good.
It so happened that one day the king cut his finger accidentally, the wound was bleeding profusely, the minister saw this and said that it has happened for good.  At this reaction, the king got very angry and he threw the minister in prison.
The next day the king went on his hunting trip without the minister, in the deep forest he was captured by some cannibals who were so excited to offer the king to their deity.  They took the king to their chief, who after examining the king and seeing his cut finger said that he is not good enough to be offered to the deity, so they let the king go. This narrow escape from death made the king so happy, he came back to his kingdom and released the minister from prison and appreciated him for his wisdom and welcomed him back to his position as his royal minister.
The king then asked the minister, "my life was saved by my cut finger but how can you say that your time in prison was good?"
The minister replied, " As I was in prison, I did not accompany you on your hunting trip, but if I had accompanied you, I would have definitely been offered as a sacrifice to the deity as I do not have a cut finger."
The king was enlightened and pleased with the reply and from then on started consulting with his wise minister for all the affairs of his kingdom.
This simple story reminds me again and again to choose and to practice trust and patience in every situation in life.  And through practicing trust and patience life has revealed to me the truth that ALL IS WELL all the time, that life/God/existence  has its own mysterious ways of balancing all things.
Sweet friends let us choose to be in the place of trust and patience even though our mind stories scare us about the things happening around us.
Let us empower ourselves with this powerful affirmation, " All is well all the time."
Blessings!
