A QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION TO SHARE

QUESTION:
You say that I am a gentle soul, loving light, good heart but what is the value of this in today's world? It seems like the people who are honest, sincere, humble & kind are the ones who are suffering the most in this world like me. Now a days people who are doing all the wrong things are most powerful & have lots of respect. Looks like those who have money can do anything in this world , why is this so?

ANSWER:
Yes, I absolutely agree with you dear one.
The situation seems to be like there is no end of misery for those with good heart.
And again let me share with you what I see from a higher perspective.

We are all travelers beyond time and space.  For a moment in time we just occupy these physical bodies that help us to connect with this physical world.  We do not belong to this world, we are grand beings who are just visiting this planet to gather wisdom for our grand journeys beyond.

We lived before we came into these physical bodies, we now live in these physical vessels, the body comes and the body goes but who we are is grandness itself.
The mind was created to protect the body, the mind takes its job very seriously, and it cautions the body about everything, it suspects every person and every situation.  It cannot be at peace.   It always gathers and keeps data of the past and refers it to the future, so all the mind stories are always about bitterness, sadness and fear.

Because of the fall in consciousness we forgot who we are and we allowed out minds to be on autopilot, the mind runs our life absolutely.  So we agree to all the 'yeah and nay' of the mind without even looking at it from our Presence.
When we consciously bring in our Presence into this journey of "life" we will know that we have been asleep and running around with the agenda of the mind.

Every situation we face in this physical world has been lovingly written by us before we came into these physical bodies, we wrote these situations ( even if they are terribly bad) because as souls we knew that we have the greater capacity to face these situation and create grander visions and greater solutions for ourselves, and that we may harvest wisdom in every emotional encounter. We are beloved children of the Universe, the Universe's wish is to know more of itself and we out of love came to play this grand exploration game to know more and more by volunteering for it. Deep within we know that we are a part of the Creator and that which is the Creator can never be damaged or destroyed.

Hence with this understanding when we awaken to our Presence within, we allow the situations to take place and with complete trust in the kindness of life we choose to see the gifts that every situation brings into our life and we move ahead.
Every human has their own story to play out on this Physical plane, every one has to go through certain things (which the mind may categorize as good or bad) in order to evolve and gather wisdom.

Hence we each have to play our part well, comparison and competition is a waste of time and energy, they only create stress.  We do not know the entire lifetime of a person, we do not know their hardships or challenges, what we see in front of us at any given moment is only a minuscule part of that person's life,  our minds may judge that as good or bad, but that is not the truth.

When we wake up to the truth of who we are, we bring a grand gift for ourselves and for humanity.  It is our responsibility to enlighten ourselves for the sake of all beings.  Forgetting our Divinity is the greatest illusion on this Planet. Waking up and connecting with our Divine Presence within will bring greater clarity about the purpose of our lives on this Planet.

Connect with your Divine Presence within by taking time to consciously notice everything around you.
When you notice your breath for a minute or two you come to know that you are not doing the breathing, you are being breathed, when you place your hand on your heart, you realize that your heart beats without any effort from you, you come to the knowing that you are being lived every moment.  That which is life is always kind.  No situation comes to your door without a gift.

So dear one choose to take time to bring your Divine Presence into your moments, choose to see the gift in every situation.  Remember that you are an infinite being, a traveler beyond time and space, and every life situation helps you to evolve and gather wisdom.
Trust that I have answered your question.
Blessings!

COME PLAY HIDE AND SEEK WITH THE CREATOR

COME PLAY HIDE AND SEEK WITH THE CREATOR
Reality or the Divine is always kind, it is up to us to find this gift of kindness in every person and every situation, for no situation or person can exist without the Presence of the Divine.
I have been telling my mind data, "I am sorry", and "I love you", all day long today.
I am reminded of Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, a Hawaiian therapist who cured a complete ward of criminally insane patients through a Hawaiian healing process called ho'oponopono, a shamanic practice of forgiveness native to Hawaii.
It explicitly encourages verbally forgiving one's own inner child and loving the self.
With the technique of ho’oponopono, Dr. Hew Len healed the patients without seeing any of them. He took each of the patient’s charts and looked within himself to see how he created that person’s illness. As he continued to work on himself, the patients were healed. The work he did on himself was to say the words “I am sorry” and “I love you” over and over again. The simple technique of Ho’oponopono is to love the self and to forgive the self for holding mind stories of fear.
So as I am saying "I am sorry" and "I love you" to every data of my mind about people and situations, my soul brings to me this message, it says that reality/God is always kind, it is me who needs to take responsibility to find this gift of kindness in every person or situation in my space.
I realize that anything other than love feels like stress. I choose to live in love, and I tell my soul I choose to find and see this gift of kindness in every person and in every situation.
The entire world is our creation – everything we see, hear, and touch is our responsibility just because it is in our life. Thus, everything outside is a reflection of the world we have created on the inside. Anything good or bad exists because of us holding certain concepts in our mind stories. So the problem is not with the world outside, it is with the world inside, and to change that we must work on ourselves.
The Divine lovingly asks us to seek and find the Divine within every person and every situation. Let us choose to play this game of seeking, finding, and experiencing the good, the kind, and the beautiful gift of the Divine in every person and every situation in our space.
Start by simply telling all your mind data, "I am sorry", and "I love you" continuously. You will definitely experience the miraculous. I have experienced it and I know it to be true.
Blessings!

POWERFUL REMINDERS FROM A LITTLE DOG

POWERFUL REMINDERS FROM A LITTLE DOG
(An excerpt from my book "Twelve Steps to Inner Peace)
Joy represents God as the Creator created us in Joy. When you live in joy, you live in the Presence of God. Follow your highest joy to find the Magical Kingdom of the Creator within. Joy is a state of Mind. The Prime Creator, Sadashiva, is ever joy. In Sanskrit, Sadasiva means: sada – ever; siva – joy. As Sadashiva created us in joy, we are joy. Joy is another name of the Creator.
We need nothing to be in joy as we are joy itself. When we realize that joy is not created as a result of certain conditions, we understand that when we choose to live from the state of Joy, joyous conditions are created around us! The secret to create joyous conditions around us is to choose to be in the state of joy as the creator made us.
The True Self has no need of any love or appreciation from the outside. There is a huge wellspring of love and joy within the Self that can embrace this whole Universe.
We are the ones we are seeking. The only true love affair is the one with the Self and not with anything on the outside. Without the busyness of the mind, we all are pure love.
At every given moment choose joy, choose excitement, and choose peace. The next moment is created only from this moment. This present moment is important. Excitement and joy is the energy that leads you to your True Self. Excitement and joy leads you to the Creator regardless of whatever the issue is and regardless of the situation’s outward appearance.
At one time I had a neighbor who had a little dog who was so happy to see every one she met. She would wag her tail, jump up and down, and look at you with such loving, knowing eyes. The little dog was so excited with life and she was so much in gratitude for everything around her that everyone fell in love with this little dog. This little dog had brought in such a powerful reminder of joy into my life. I found that anytime I felt uncomfortable or sad with my mind stories, I could immediately switch my thoughts to the exuberant joy of this little dog. In my mind’s eye, I saw her wag her little tail and excitedly jump up and down, and as she was so happy with life and showed it with her entire body, it brought me joy, excitement, and trust in the eternal goodness of Divine Love. I chose to give gratitude to life like this little dog. Immediately, my mood changed and I became so happy and thankful toward life. I am so much in gratitude to this little being that showed me to live in excitement for life.
Excitement lets you know that the one here, now, in this Present Time, is the true you. By choosing joy, you are acknowledging your true self to the Universe. It is then that the Universe has the conviction that it is you, and it is then that the Universe can support who you actually are rather than supporting who you have been told you have to be.
Events come and go, but consciousness is what binds and creates all events. It is important to hold the right consciousness that leads you to your joy and to your abundance. The secret key to enter your Magic Kingdom is imagination and trust to create joy in all events of life.
This planet’s playground has no built-in meaning. It takes the meaning you choose to give it, and this is the highest form of love and dignity.
Blessings!

HAPPY PONGAL! BLESSINGS OF ABUNDANCE!

HAPPY PONGAL!
Today is a grand day of the winter harvest festival in India. In my place of birth Tamil Nadu it is celebrated as Pongal. In Tamil, the word Pongal means "overflowing" which signifies abundance and prosperity. On the day of Pongal, at the time of sun rise there is a symbolic ritual of boiling fresh milk with freshly harvested rice in a new clay pot and when it boils over and bubbles out of the vessel, people shout "Pongalo Pongal!" which means "may this earth and the life of all beings be filled with abundance and well being in every aspect!"
Pongal is mainly celebrated to convey the appreciation and thankfulness to the Sun God as it act as the primary energy behind the life of all beings, from plants to animals to the tiny single celled beings all depend on the sun for their growth and well being.
This harvest festival is called by different names in different parts of India due to the different languages in every state, they are Makar Sankranti, Bihu, Lohri, Uttarayana, and Pongal.
PONGALO PONGAL to you all my dear friends! May your moments be filled with abundant well being and joy!
Blessings!

THE BURDENS WE CHOOSE TO CARRY

THE BURDENS WE CHOOSE TO CARRY

The past is dead and gone, it is over, but still we choose to carry it in our mind.  The future is not born yet but still we choose to create scary stores of the future in our minds.  Being preoccupied with our scary mind stories, the present is lost to us, we miss the gifts the powerful present moment brings.  The Present moment is a grand gift where we can renew and rejuvenate ourselves. The present moment is a grand opportunity, for it brings a clean slate where we can choose new thoughts and new ways of thinking. This is the abundant grace given for us to not be stuck but to move on to create grander visions and greater solutions for the situations at hand.

I am reminded of this beautiful zen story:

The Burden

Two monks were returning to the monastery in the evening. It had rained and there were puddles of water on the road sides. At one place a beautiful young woman was standing unable to walk across because of a puddle of water. The elder of the two monks went up to a her lifted her and left her on the other side of the road, and continued his way to the monastery.

In the evening the younger monk came to the elder monk and said, “Sir, as monks, we cannot touch a woman ?”

The elder monk answered “yes, brother”.

Then the younger monk asks again, “but then Sir, how is that you lifted that woman on the roadside ?”

The elder monk smiled at him and told him ” I left her on the other side of the road, but you are still carrying her.”

I have noticed that when we choose to drop the burdens of mind stories a grand space is created where we can bring in our visions and create solutions. We are the creators of heaven or hell in our life, creating heaven or hell depend on what thoughts we choose to encourage and feed our minds with.
We are grand beings with immense love and compassion in our hearts, let us choose to bring this love and compassion into our lives especially for ourselves by dropping our burdens and creating space for grander visions and greater solutions.
For what we choose for ourselves we choose for all humanity, for we are ONE Consciousness.
Let us choose to drop our burdens this moment and become the grand creators of heaven on earth, let us play this game of life with mindful awareness.

Blessings!

THE GREAT INVOCATION PRAYER

THE GREAT INVOCATION PRAYER
~ Master Choa Kok Sui
(This prayer belongs to all humanity)

"From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May the Great Messenger of God return to Earth.
From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth."

A Q&A session

A QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION TO SHARE
At this time many are having questions about the occurrence of repeated distressing situations in life. This is one such question.
QUESTION:
I keep on repeating the same painful experiences in my job .....I have no joy, I feel betrayed, lied to ,not worthy ashamed, feel like a failure but I just can't put the dots together ....why do the same experiences keep happening over and over again...
ANSWER:
My Sweet Friend, Thank you for sharing your heart with me. I understand how you feel because I have experienced such situations myself.
The solution that I found out for this is loving and approving of myself immensely. Understanding that the position or the job is not what gives me joy, if I depend on it then I become a slave to it. It was very difficult for me at one time when I lost a job that I was so happy with.
With deep contemplation in my anger and sadness I found that I was giving away my power to something to keep me happy.
I came to understand that I was capable, the Universe had blessed me with so many gifts, and the most important gift was this life time on earth, with a beautiful human body to touch, feel, see and gather wisdom.
I realized that it was time I took care of all the things that I had taken for granted starting with this precious experience through a human body.
So I chose to slow down and do all that was need to appreciate and love my life.
I started to work on myself , I forgave myself for bringing in unkind thoughts that self sabotaged my joy, I started a gratitude journal, I did the loving the self meditations, and connected with my heart.
I chose to heal myself from my pain and I diligently worked on myself, then I realized that I was Joy, and that nothing can take this away from me, neither people nor situations.
Beloved one, I trust that life is very kind and by the repeated distressing situations it is showing you that your path is widening, your soul is merging with higher light and your calling is greater than that which you believe it to be. You are being given more gifts and capacities to expand your loving light. Your gift is not only to make a good performance of a job you have known many years, but now your gift from life is to expand yourself from your heart. Know that by working on yourself you will gather more wisdom and trust , you will understand your path, and you will touch many lives.
Remember that you are not your job, your personality, or your performance or the role you are called to play, who YOU are is a grand being of immense love and light, and the loving light in you calls you to share your gifts in innumerable ways. Only when you work on yourself , you will love, approve and appreciate yourself, then you will never give anyone the power to control you through these things. Life is only this moment, appreciate what you have in this moment and do your very best at it. Life is not in the past or future, so do not believe your mind stories of comparison, competition or fear.
Please refer to my recent question and answer session, that will help you with simple exercises to work on yourself and live from the place of love and effortless ease.
Trust that I have answered your question.
Blessings!

A QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION TO SHARE

A QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION TO SHARE

Some dear friends have been asking this question and so I am sharing the solutions that helped me in an amazing way.

QUESTION:  I am going through so much pain in my relationships.  I want to forgive and forget everything and everyone.  But I don't know how to apply it in real world and for all the situations.

ANSWER:
Thank you for sharing your heart with me my friend.

For eons because of the fall in consciousness, the only illusion on this planet is forgetting our Divinity.  Since many are unconscious of being unconscious they keep on doing things that are not relevant to true human nature. True human nature is kindness, compassion, and truth.
As children we were taught again and again that "we are not good enough" and that " we do not deserve"
This has made us forget our Divinity, forget to love ourselves and continue to criticize ourselves.
This world is our mirror, hence if we smile the mirror smiles back, and if we scowl it will definitely scowl back at us.  Also if we love ourselves the mirror reflects and brings loving people into our lives, if we criticize ourselves then the mirror reflects and brings negative people who criticize and deplete our energy.

No one can understand you dear one, because every person who sees you , sees you only through their mind story, their picture of you in their mind, no one can feel your emotions or know your thoughts.  You are a grand being of immense love and light, you lived before you came into this body, you now live in this physical body and the body comes and it goes but who you are is ever eternal, infinite being who can never die nor be born, never be harmed or damaged in anyway.  All situations and experiences have been created by you in order for you to gather wisdom and bring peace.
So the only person who can love you, understand you, appreciate you and be kind to you is you yourself.  No one can do this for you.  Expecting others to do this for you is where you create confusion and stress.
The moment you realized that it is you who has to change, you are on the right path towards progress.
In my journey the key that I found in my life is to love myself immensely.  Love and approve of myself so that I need not expect anyone else to do it for me.
We have never learned to love ourselves, so it is very much important to practice loving the Self.  Not in selfishness but because the self is the temple where the Divine resides.
Connecting with our Divinity within can happen only when we start loving the Self and be kind to the self.
There are a few simple exercises that you can do to connect with your Divinity within.
They are very simple but have profound results.  The magic of these exercises is absolutely your willingness to do them diligently.
The simple exercises I share with you are just pointers to remind you of your true self which is complete unconditional love.
The more you realize yourself as the perfect loving infinite being, the more you will make peace with your situation and the more you will be able to make wise decisions in your life.

These are some simple exercises that I would suggest you do sincerely as many times as you can everyday. Your success depends on your diligence.

1. Mantras for Forgiveness:
Mantras are words that empower. However, words are just words until we bind them with our feelings. Therefore, every affirmation we say needs to be bound with our feelings, has to be said aloud or silent, or must be written many times a day. This helps to erase the past that has been programmed by many years of conditioning, and energetically rewrites the future that we want for ourselves.

Forgiveness Mantra:
"I forgive anyone whom I think has harmed me in this life or any lifetime, anywhere ever, in my space. I forgive all debts; I erase all karma. I choose the Light of Understanding to light my path Now."

To specifically forgive someone who is in your space right now, do the following as many times a day as you can by pouring your feelings into every word and making it true for you. Do it; it works like magic.

I forgive and release ___ (name) unto God. This person ___(name) is in her/his right place at all times. I choose freedom for myself; I am free, ___(name) is free. I decree that my words go forth unto infinite mind and bring it to pass . And so it is!

Forgiveness is the key, a powerful tool, and the first step to Inner Peace.

2. Gratitude Journal
Make a gratitude notebook for  yourself , keep it in a special place and everyday enter at least 3 or more things in life that you are grateful for .  It can be even the air you breathe, your loved ones, the supporting nature around you, the food, clothing, a kind word from a friend etc.  As you start this journal you will find that there are innumerable things that you can be thankful for and you will come into joy with no boundaries.

3. Heart connection
As many times as you can make a silent moment for yourself, place your hand on the place of you physical heart, notice your breath moving in and out of your body for sometime and then start noticing your heart beat if you can.  You can also recite this simple mantra silently  "I AM my heart"

4. Loving the Self
This mantra can be memorized and said as many times during the day as possible, while shopping, washing dishes, cooking, anytime, anywhere.  This mantra gets its power only from your feeling.  Feel every sentence as you say it and make it true for you.
Love yourself because you deserve your own love, love yourself because you are the temple where the Divine resides.  Connecting to your divinity within begins only from the place of loving the self.

The mantra/affirmation (from Louise Hay)
"I love myself
I am wonderful
Today is one of the best days of my life
Everything is working out for my highest good
Whatever I need to know is revealed to me
Whatever I need comes to me
All is well"

You can also write this mantra down as many times as you can like a love letter for yourself.
Do these simple exercises daily, with complete sincerity towards yourself, remember this will be a most powerful gift you give to yourself, for humanity and for this Planet.

Blessings!

A BEAUTIFUL AWAKENING STORY

A BEAUTIFUL AWAKENING STORY ~ by Leonard Jacobson
The Quest
A man was searching for the key to happiness.
One day he came upon a sage sitting on the side of the road.
"Where can I find happiness?" asked the man.
"It is here," answered the sage.
The man looked around.
"But there is nothing here," he said.
"There is nothing here," answered the sage, "because you are not here. How can you know what is here if you are not here."
The man looked confused.
"Become fully present with the trees," said the sage.
"Become fully present with the flowers and the birds and the distant mountain."
Guided by the sage, the man was able to bring himself fully present, and as he did so, everything began to change.
The trees became vibrant and alive.
They were full of light.
They seemed eternal.
The flowers exploded into all colors of the rainbow.
The song of the birds filled the man's ears.
He could feel the soft caress of the breeze upon his face.
And he was gently warmed by the sun.
He began to feel extremely calm and peaceful.
His mind was completely still.
Not a single thought arose.
He felt love arising within him.
He felt a sense of oneness and perfection rising within him.
He was in ecstasy and bliss.
A sense of inner knowing filled him and at last he was at peace.
For the first time in his life he felt full within.
And he was very, very happy.
Just then he heard a voice inside of him.
It was the voice of his mind.
It was the voice of his ego.
"Do not listen to this foolish old man!" said the voice. "What can he offer
you? Just a few trees, some flowers and the distant mountain. That is
nothing. I can offer you so much more. I can offer you everything. All
you have to do is think, and it is yours. All you have to do is imagine
and I will take you there. I can promise you fame and power and glory.
Ask this so called sage if he can offer you that?"
The sage shook his head.
"I can offer you all the knowledge of the past," said the voice. "Ask the sage if he can offer you that."
The sage shook his head.
"I can promise you a better future," said the voice. "Ask the sage if he can do that."
The sage shook his head.
"I can bring you everything that is missing in your life. I can fix up
everything that is wrong. Ask the sage if he can do that."
The sage shook his head.
The man had heard enough.
"What can you offer me?" he asked the sage.
"Only what is present in this moment," answered the sage.
"Is that all?" asked the man.
"Nothing more than that." said the sage.
The man thought for a while.
"No contest!" the voice said triumphantly inside the man's head. "No contest!"
"There is nothing here," said the man. "Just a few trees, some flowers and the distant mountain."
With that the man continued on his way, in pursuit of that which his mind had promised him.
The sage watched as the man disappeared down the road.
"No contest," said the sage to the trees and the flowers and the distant mountain.
"No contest."

DO OTHER'S OPINIONS MATTER?

DO OTHER’S OPINIONS MATTER?
Seek approval from your inner being rather than from other people. Dwelling on others’ opinions about you is a waste of time, and it is not your business in the first place. It is not going to help you in anyway.
People need not be your source of approval. You are the best person who can approve of yourself. Approve of yourself before anyone else can approve of you for the good job you have done, for the love that you are, for your kind heart, for all of the things you do, and for existing on this planet at this time. You are a grand being, and you are a very important part of the planet. By appreciating and approving of yourself, you will no longer seek approval on the outside, and you will not be dependent or addicted to others’ opinions in anyway. You will be your own powerful guiding light.
The problem with depending on other people’s approval, is that you dance to their tunes which are never true for you. You become addicted to the outside report and push yourself into stress. What others think of you is certainly not your business; however, living your life from the place of joy within and awakening yourself into a responsible, capable, loving, harmonious, and happy human is absolutely your business.
Buddha’s story
Once the Buddha was giving a spiritual discourse and there was an angry man who wanted to take out his anger on Buddha. He got up and started scolding and uttering all sorts of ugly words to the Buddha. The Buddha stood silently, with a smile on his face. After being spent of his anger, the man came up to the Buddha and asked, "Don't you feel angry, are you not ashamed that I spoke like this to you in front of all these people?"
The Buddha in all his wisdom replied:
"Young man, you have an apple in your hand, and you are offering it to me, but I did not take it, so tell me where is the apple now?"
The man said that the apple is still with him, so the Buddha replied:
"Likewise your words are with you, I did not make them mine."
Reminder: Do not make the opinions of others’ as yours. Allow people to have their opinions, BUT DO NOT MAKE THEM YOURS.
Love, approve, and cherish yourself completely to remove yourself from getting addicted to people’s approval. It is always stressful and difficult to compete with others, compare your situation, or belittle your actions by considering what you should or should not have done. Freedom is giving the gift of KINDNESS to oneself. It means never allowing fear, anger, or sadness to cloud your life. It means to live life with total acceptance, flexibility, and without resistance. There is no success to be achieved, and there is no failure either. For whatever you are doing at any given moment with total love and acceptance, is the Ultimate Success.
This Prayer of Byron Katie is a powerful reminder:
“God spare me from the desire for love, approval, or appreciation.”
Blessings!

GOING BEYOND THE MIND STORIES OF GOOD AND BAD

GOING BEYOND GOOD OR BAD
According to the TAO, “ When people see some things as good, other things become bad.”
In this world of duality consciousness, we have practiced our minds to see some things as good and some things as bad. Also the mind has a storehouse of filed ideas and thoughts about good and bad as perceived by our senses and as taught by the society. And we are the Creators and the organizers of this entire play of good or bad. The meaning for everything in life is the meaning we have given it. We are absolutely responsible for our creation. No one else is responsible to make us feel good or bad.
We give meanings to life situations and create judgments. We continue to judge others and ourselves creating pain, stress, and divisions against ourselves and other people. Resistance, comparison, and competition become the theme of everyday situations. We start at a very early age with thoughts of:
“I am not good enough, I cannot be satisfied with myself, I have to be better, bigger, faster, smarter,” and the list goes on and on.
Then it plays out with our relationships with other people, other countries, and the world at large. Division occurs and there becomes a huge amount of pain and anguish in the heart.
Life as a human with the mind anchored in judgment creates suffering. The suffering is always because of the perception of good or bad. Running the race is good, but when it is judged as winning or losing, then it becomes suffering. Pain is an experience but when it is judged as bad, it becomes suffering.
The heart is the place of purity, a place where there is oneness, and a place of undivided limitlessness. We are great magnificent beings who chose to keep a tiniest part of ourselves in these human bodies to experience the gift of a human life. We have forgotten our magnificence, and only our heart knows this greater part of our being. Hence, the heart is never compromised by the illusion of judgments of good or bad.
To live in oneness with the heart, brings comfort and peace. To live in oneness with the heart, one has to die. In this contemplation, I am reminded of the verse in the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi:
“It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.”
If you watch people on their deathbeds, they have a radiant smile, they know there is no hope, the decision-making is now out of their hands, and out of their minds. They are experiencing freedom!
The real truth about dying while alive is letting go of all of the divisions of good or bad, going beyond good or bad, going beyond what appears to be, being in a neutral state, and being in a place of choice-less consciousness. It is the art of getting out of the mind, watching the mind, and being a witness.
Just stopping to watch the mind while taking short breaths of awareness, brings greater understanding and helps to drop all illusions of good or bad. For only we are capable of making ourselves suffer by believing our thoughts and by constantly arguing with reality. Thoughts are never personal, they do not stay, they come, and they go. It is our choice to personalize them or not. No person in this world has the power to make us scared, angry, sad, or stressed. Only we have the power to do this to ourselves. Such fear based emotions arise out of personalizing our thoughts and beliefs about the world around us, and they are the insanity of being at war with reality. Let us choose to go beyond the concept of good or bad as we are powerful beings and it is possible for us.
Blessings!
