PUNISHMENTS NEVER WORK

PUNISHMENTS ARE ANCIENT, THEY NEVER WORK
Hurting people are the ones who hurt others the most.
When I was teaching school children some time back, I have noticed that children who bully other children are the ones who have been abused in their homes. They are beaten and punished at home and they are unable to take out their anger on the parents, so when they come to school they start hurting other children in order to let out their anger.
Also there is another category of children who get bullied so bad in school, I noticed that these children have lost their power, their power to be self-confident, they did not have much self-esteem. These children came from homes where they were emotionally abused, they were called bad names by the parents and siblings and the family used a lot of curse words with each other. There was no respect for the child. These are the children who let others bully them because they did not know how to defend themselves.
As a family and as a society we are responsible to care for each other and uplift each other.
Every one of us contribute our energy to the collective consciousness. It is important that we take responsibility for the kind of energy we bring to this Planet and humanity. It is important that we take time to be peaceful and non-judgmental within so that we can really hear the cry from the heart of people who are labeled as 'wrong-doers.' Wrong-doers become wrong doers because of the circumstances and experiences they went through. As a society we have a spiritual and ethical responsibility to help them evolve.
We cannot create laws or judge people based on how we feel at the worst moment of our life.
When there is punishment and more punishment, there can be no relief, we continue to hurt and be hurt. Punishment is ancient and has never worked in a positive way so far for anyone.
Emotions heal when they are heard and validated. We must keep our minds open and look at life from a responsible perspective. Rehabilitation of structuring and disciplining of the mind with simple meditations and knowledge will help to create healing for any society.
I am grateful that at this time there are many spiritual teachers working with prison inmates guiding them with yoga and meditation.
It is easier to move into the here and now with love rather than judgment. Our compassion creates our world as a grander place for humanity.
May humanity awaken to its Divinity!
May this Planet be blessed!
